When you walk through our doors, I want you to feel the warmth of a community that truly sees and celebrates children. Levant is not just a school, it’s a place where curiosity, individuality, and joy are at the heart of everything we do.
I was born and raised in Kano, Nigeria, and after many years abroad, I felt a strong pull to return and give back to the community that shaped me. My parents instilled in me the value of education, and that passion has guided my life’s work for over 25 years. With a foundation in Early Childhood Education and experience working with schools, NGOs, and government organisations, I’ve had the privilege of shaping more progressive approaches to learning. Levant is the result of this journey; a school that protects the joy of childhood while preparing children to thrive in today’s world.
Now, with my grandchildren growing up here in Abuja, this mission has become even more personal. When I visited my eldest grandson’s preschool, I found it to be lovely; but it wasn’t the vision I had been working toward all these years. That was the moment I knew it was time to build the kind of school I had always dreamed of: one that celebrates childhood while equipping children with the skills and confidence to succeed in life.
At Levant, we are not just about academics, we nurture curiosity, independence, and confidence. Our approach combines structure with creativity, using hands-on, inquiry-driven methods that make learning meaningful and joyful.
What makes Levant unique is our ability to celebrate Nigerian identity while giving children a global perspective. Here, children learn to value their roots while gaining the skills they need for an interconnected future.
As a mother and grandmother, I understand how important it is to choose a school that feels right for your child, a place where they are seen, valued, and inspired. Levant is that place.
I can’t wait to welcome you into our community and share this journey with your family.
Warmly,
Rima Taher
